This is just a friendly reminder but make sure you update to the latest release (2.5.1). This update comes hot on the heels of the monumental 2.5 version of WordPress.

2.5.1 has some security fixes. Here’s the less than encouraging note from the official WordPress blog:

We recommend everyone update immediately, particularly if your blog has open registration. The vulnerability is not public but it will be shortly.

WordPress is great but with each passing day more and more people are trying to punch holes through it and succeeding. That’s why it’s so important to keep up with the new version releases.
